WEIGHT TREATMENT AND THE SUB-CONSCIOUSNESS
The mind can help us attain our good weight. Certainly, it took us more than a couple of months to reach the point where we stand now: we are in the need of weight change. Now, we have to calm down and allow the body to adjust to the desired weight change. We need to believe strongly in the steps we undertake and follow several guiding principles.
When we speak to our inner self, we might transmit the wrong messages. How does weight excess burden us? How do we plan the weight change? Why do we want to be thin on the first place?
We have to deconstruct our thoughts. Let us consider the last question we asked. The verb ‘want’ expresses a general intent instead of decisiveness. Moreover, we speak of desired results that are detached from the present moment. To program ourselves successfully, we have to delude the mind that we already won the battle. The sub-consciousness has no concept for time. If we say that we want something, we will get exactly that: empty desires and no other results. If we say that we are in the process of reaching our best weight, we will manage our weight change better. This is how the sub-consciousness functions.
We have to include many positive statements in our thoughts. Repeated aloud, they can have a positive impact on our behavior. Positive messages contain concentrated energy that will place us on the right track: reaching our best weight and becoming perfectly fit.
It is good to start writing down as many statements as we manage. It won`t take excessive amount of time to do that. We can start by stating that we are losing 12 pounds over the next two weeks. This is a realistic goal that deserves to be reached. However, we have to learn how to structure our statements correctly.
Let us tell ourselves that we weigh 120 pounds (55 kilos). Now we have the good weight which fits our concept of a dream body.
What kind of message do we send in this case? We see that it is extremely important to formulate our statements as facts. This is the weight formula: chose a weight change plan, adjust the mind, eat healthily, exercise, and un-stress your life!
It is important to be entirely clear about your message. What we ask turns into what we get.
We do not have to limit ourselves to one single statement. Write another one: ‘I enjoy my weight change program’, ‘I am on the right track to my best weight’, ‘Healthy diet fills my body with energy.’
Write and rewrite these statements to make sure that the goals are reached here and now. Remember that present tense is used at all times.
Initially, we may feel a little awkward and disbelieve the statements that we make. We may find it funny to express our thoughts aloud. However, this is the best way to discipline our sub-consciousness. Write and speak positively and positive results will come around!
